U.S. Bank is absolutely shady trash. Opened an account here since I moved to Oregon from out of state. Was told by the banker to just write checks from my old account to my new account until my disability check direct deposit got figured out. Deposited the check I wrote myself. Receipt said $200 of $600 available. That makes sense. I understand. So wrote $200 in bills and sent them off. Noticed 3 days later that the balance showed $640 but only $40 was available. They froze the whole $600 as of 4/8 and it won't be released until 4/19 even though my bank paid it on 4/8. I called the branch and they referred me to "back office" an 800 number. After speaking with 5 people and the fraud department, I was essentially told it was completely random and they can do it whenever they want because it's in their terms and conditions. They said it was up to the branch. Called the branch again and they claimed they had nothing to do with it and no one could help. I just got a notice in the mail on 4/13 notifying me that they put the hold on it because they had reason to believe that the check wouldn't be paid. Absolute bull. Total trash keeping more than half a persons monthly disability when they have already been paid. Now my bills are going to bounce and I can't pay the ones that are due. I will close this account as soon as my money is available and will never do business with this shady Uncle Joe "back office" operation.

us bank charges your 40 bucks every transaction that goes below 0 even by 1 cent! and the charges stack? I went from owing nothing to -400 in two days... 4 overdraft charges 1 fee... I called and they sent me to loan department? OVERDRAFT PROTECTION DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE PROTECTED FROM OVERDRAFTING? They don't care if it's confusing they get 400$ every time they trick us

Worst branch ever. I have personal/ business accounts, but employees don't care about it. They never give enough change to the business and now they only accept business deposits between 10am to 11am. We have businesses to run. How do we gonna come to the bank middle of a busy day? Don't bring new business here. I'll do my best to avoid this branch.

      Response from the owner

Have been with US Bank for 14 years with multiple business and personal accounts my main branch shut down hence i moved to Hall Blvd Downtown Beaverton Branch Have never waited so long for basic services. Every visit recently has been a 20-40 mins deal The staff is not trained to be friendly almost makes you feel like a burden on the branch rather than a customer I have been told today that the same transaction i have carried for 14 years from one business to the other in the same bank cannot be made available because thats the RULE! So all these years the Bank and last month your branch was making a mistake and breaking rules? I am moving my accounts to a Bank which actually understands customer service. I remember a time in US Bank i guess it was 2005&2006 if we waited for more than 10 mins we were given a $5.00 credit in our account that was the level of service!

      Response from the owner

We strive to provide a level of service that meets our customers' highest expectations, Vinish. Our employees are also trained to treat our customers with the highest level of respect. We appreciate you taking the time to leave this review and regret that we have not met our goal in this instance. We wouldn’t want to lose you without a chance to speak with you first. If you don't mind, please send us an email with your phone number to [email protected], including reference number 9119. An Ambassador will call you in 2 business days. Thank you and we hope to hear back from you. ^Larisa

Consistently the slowest bank I've ever visited. Just this one branch, for whatever reason, is always excruciatingly slow in the drive-up lane. Other branches, such as Orenco Station, are at the window within 30 seconds. This location, even if you're the only one in line, you can anticipate spending up to 5 minutes before someone appears at the window, when it's your turn. And if there are multiple cars at the window, you can multiply that. I hope they staff properly in the future to avoid this, but I'm done coming here.

      Response from the owner

Hello Lynz, we appreciate the time you have taken to review your experience at the branch. We would like the chance to talk with you further about your experience and offer our help in any way we can. Please email your phone number and reference #4838 to us at [email protected] and we'll call you in 24-48 business hours. Thank you. ^Kim

Sat and waited for 20 minutes after telling them we wanted to open a savings and credit card account. 4 tellers helping one customer while another two associates stood and talked with what I assume was family. An older lady who I assume was the manager even stopped by to tell us she would be over to help but after ten minutes of waiting while they chatted we left and went to another branch. Complete fail. There wasn't even an attempt to provide good service.

Employees do not receive sufficient training. When this becomes apparent, the manager fails to return phone calls or follow-up. When ordering checks, plan on waiting 3 weeks or more for delivery. The staff is tremendously courteous, however, their hands are tied with little or no support from U.S. Bank. In addition, they have no permanent staff (only floaters) to support business customers.

To let a business go to the point of no return from complete lack of customer service skills is a perfect example of poor management, lack of empathy and poor judgement. Dont blame the staff, they are doing what they are trained to do as DMV staff, Courthouse staff ..... They all want to be like Trump!

      Response from the owner

Hello Scott, Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us and for leaving this review. I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the service you received at this location. We'd really like to speak with you about what happened and to have the opportunity to help in whatever way we can. Please send us an email at [email protected] with your phone number and reference number 3544. Once we receive your number, we'll give you a call within one business day. Thanks again. ^Caitlin

That moment when your card declines and you check your account and you've been getting charged a $35 overdraft fee, for every day the accounts been overdrawn by $2 and now owe over $200 and they won't do anything to help you out. Worst bank I've ever dealt with.

      Response from the owner

Hello Matt, I totally understand the surprising feeling when something shows up on your account that you may not be aware of, not to mention having your card declined. I can't apologize enough. Please send your phone number along with reference number 3856 to [email protected]. Hope to hear from you soon. All the best.^Chris
