Rob Olson1On 9/10/21 I went to the River Falls branch of the WESTconsin credit union. I was going to put some documents in my safe deposit box. I was denied access to my safe deposit box. After 40 minutes of waiting to speak to someone. I was told that I was removed from the box by my deceased father in January of 2020. I was told that someone but not myself now has access. I informed the branch manager that my fathers and my accounts were drained of thousands of dollars in January of 2020 by a fraudster. And that someone at the River Falls branch was able to recover our funds and informed me nothing else was affected by the fraudster. I have paid the rent on the safe deposit box and have accessed the box several times since January 2020. I also showed legal documentation. WESTconsin credit union refused to inform me of who now has access to my belongings. I was told that it was being sent to another department. I may have access to my belongings in a week or never depending on the outcome. I also informed them that my online accounts had three outside accounts linked to them. They could not inform me of whos or what accounts these are. I am sorry to say that WESTconsin credit union values fraudsters privacy over its own customers.

I really like how convenient the Ellsworth location is, and how nice the staff is both there and in River Falls. Its also very conveniently located in the local and mid size cities that I go to where other banks are not.

shannon desmith5I have been a member of the WESTconsin Credit Union for so long I don’t even know when I started! The best rates on everything! Their employees are so welcoming and helpful!! Now I have been working there as a realtor and I see it from the inside out. They truly promote customer service and a caring, member first attitude. WCU, Realty, Title Services and Admin are out supporting the community and not because they have to. They are giving back to their members! And it is the right thing to do!

Jacob Cook4The only reason I'm not giving a five rating is because the online presence is lacking. For some reason, they don't allow individuals to have their own logins with their own security. It makes me question their commitment to online security. Otherwise, I very much like the experience I've had thus far. I came from one of the giant "big box" banks. The experience has been much simpler. The hoops that the banks would make you jump through, usually as a pretense to get you to sit in front of them for yet another sales presentation, doesn't seem to exist here. That alone is worth membership.

We have a feature in Online Banking where sub-users can be created called Shared Access. You may find this helpful as it allows the primary account holder to grant user access to their Online Banking account without sharing login credentials. The primary account holder determines the account permissions for the designated individual (sub-user). To grant access to a sub-user the primary account holder will go to the Additional Services menu while using a browser and select Shared Access. Jessica Lee Swosinski5Been a member since 2016. At each different location we are greeted politely, some known by face or even name. It gives you that safe feeling, that you need with your financial institution. This particular location, is by far my favorite. I'm very outgoing so I'm always telling crazy stories and trying to entertain. I just love how every time I come here I'm greeted with a warm smile and a quick hello. It's great to see genuine people who love their jobs.

Kristin G5I’ve been with this credit union for almost 20 years. You can’t beat their mortgage rates anywhere. I’ve recommended Westconsin Credit Union to so many people who ended up opening accounts and getting their home loans done by WCU. I have to echo another reviewer in saying that the River Falls WCU has the ‘best’ customer service. Everybody is always so helpful and they greet you all the time just walking in the door. Keep doing what you are doing and don’t change a thing.
