SIOUX WARRIOR1I've been trying to get information on a loan for a week. I've tried calling but the phone rings on a continuous loop after following automated directions for a loan officer. I tried applying online but was given an error code message in the mortgage center website before I could fill out an application. It's so easy to get approved online or over the phone these days. It shouldn't be this hard. I Wanted to apply with a local lender but I'll be looking elsewhere now.

Nate5James Minarik was phenomenal to work with! He walked me through the auto loan process over the phone and via email. I never had to step foot in the bank! He was also very responsive to last minute questions, etc. Will definitely do business with him again!

Scott Hanson5Jim helped me with two substantial transactions and it couldn’t have gone any smoother. Jim cared about the urgency I had and helped align with my timeline with minimal effort required by me. I live 45 minutes away and would gladly drive back to St. Paul should I need the services again in the future, great rates and incredible service. Thank you Jim and SPFCU!

Richelle Royals1Opened accounts due to the teacher strike fund using them for emergency loans... Conner was helpful upon opening the account and seemed knowledgeable and then I later found out he had no idea what he was talking about and when I addressed him he shrugged his shoulders and blamed me for not checking my email. ON STRIKE!!!! when I left I went online and started a chat to get information on who I could contact and Maria in the chat room told me that I couldn't have any information to reach anyone to discuss my interaction with Conner. No supervisor, no upper management, nothing. When I suggested I was going back to branch now escalated to address a supervisor in person she decided I could have the name Brad and his email. I instead sent an email to out union reps to ask why we bank with an institution that lacks customer service and accountability. Didn't know they existed prior to going on strike and wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!!

Phillip Spanjers5Jim Minarik has been the best loaner officer who we have ever worked with. His prompt response at moments notice to obtain financing is amazing. Throughout our experience, his work ethic and professionalism is always mentioned when we have referred new members. It’s almost as if Jim is a privately hired banker who streamlines the process to our needs. We will only use SPFCU for financing after working with Jim. SFPCU should be grateful to have an all star loan officer to represent the credit union. Thank you Jim!
Response from the ownerPhillip, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, for the review of our services. We are really proud to hear of the great service provided to you by Jim. We will make sure to share that with him this morning. Thank you for being a member of St. Paul Federal Credit Union.

Tommie Lee5Just refinanced my Civic Type R with St. Paul Credit Union. I give them props on their marketing. They randomly called to let me know that they offer 1.89% up to 72 months at the time. Sparked my interested and set up a call with Rowina Kollie to finish the Application Process. About a 20 minute phone call to get it all pre approved and submitted and only cost $13 for the lien transfer. Best rate in Minnesota for Auto Loans! Thanks again Rowina!

Oriyel Yang1Worst customer service!! My card was unlocked multiple times without notifying me. Every time I called card services, I get rude workers who interrupts me while I'm trying to explain what's going on. They will always transfer me over to another department. This is the 3rd time this happened. My card is still unlocked and I'm told to wait till Monday to reset my PIN #. Seriously!!! I will not be banking with you people anymore!!
Response from the ownerOriyel, I am really sorry to hear your experience with St. Paul Federal Credit Union. Matt Foux1They won’t unlock my debit card. I tried to purchase a gift card for a friend and it got locked. Called their 24 hour service line because no one answered at the office. They gave me the run around and said they couldn’t unlock the card and that they were going to transfer my call. My call was transferred to a voicemail that said I would be called back within 24 hours. After 2 days I still haven’t received that call and they still tell me they can’t unlock my card.
Response from the ownerMatt, I am sorry for the service you are experiencing. I have escalated your request to our card department, and they should be in touch with you shortly to resolve the issue. Again, I apologize for the miscommunication, and we should have your issue resolved this morning. Thank You. St. Paul Federal Credit Union.

Nathan Starkson1Absolute TERRIBLE customer service. Nobody seems to know anything. They couldn't help with setting up an account online, paying off a loan, getting a lien release... nothing. You're better off going to a different credit union.
Response from the ownerNathan, we are really sorry to hear about your experience with St. Paul Federal Credit Union. We would really like to hear more specifics regarding your concerns so that we may properly assess improvements we need to make. I will have one of our Branch Managers reach out to you to discuss in more detail. Thank you St. Paul Federal Credit Union.

K A1Hostile and misleading collections department. My account was used without my approval, and I was contacted by collections, someone named Kristine (not customer support). When I did get a hold of customer support they emailed me a form to bring in, but I continued to get calls from their debt collector telling me that the only way to fix it was to pay. Kristine from collections ended up calling one day to say I had to pay that day or my account would be closed. I told her I couldn’t. It turns out that I could have filled out that form, but she was deliberately was misleading me, and their management continues to refuse to address this. Update: my account has now been closed and charged off. I am now unable to open an account elsewhere, because they have spread misinformation about my creditworthiness. This bank’s collection department decided to profit off of someone in poverty instead of honoring their own policies. I would not recommend this bank to ANYONE.
Response from the ownerThank you for reaching out to the Credit Union with your feedback. When there is fraudulent activity on your account performed by an unauthorized individual, we refund any fees that were assessed to the account. Without knowing the specific details of our situation, we can't speak to exactly what happened. If you would please reach out to us at https://www.stpaulfcu.org/contact-us or by calling us at 800-782-5767, we would like to collect some more information regarding your situation so that we can review and resolve this issue for you.
