Awesome hours! Great customer service! I have moved all of my banking business to CharterBank. Easy to work with and free checking/online bill pay.

Charter was the best bank I’ve ever had. The people are still great but this bank is horrible. You can’t find a bank like charter anymore. Wish they would do things like charter did. It was by far superior. As the reviews show.

Would leave zero stars if I could. Usually when a bank merges, it is with a better bank. 100% not the case. Charter was an AWESOME bank. Now it is total garbage. I want to switch so bad but I cannot locate a bank close to me that would be any better, plus, switching is such a hassle. But as soon as find something that can seem to not suck as bad, I am gone. I will miss all of the awesome people that work there, some of which have been there since the grand opening and I have come to know on a personal basis. I cannot fathom how CenterState is still a bank at all, much less, merge with a bank as great as Charter.

Charter was a phenomenal bank. CenterState not so much. Since the merger 2 weeks ago , there has been nothing but issues . I spent my lunch every-day last week trying to work out issue. Cash doesn't post , pending transactions for days (credits and debits) debits post , credits don't and you're hit with overdraft fees while you see credits "pending" they refund the nsf fee but the next day it goes right back to the same issue and more nsf fees. Debit cards have glitches and won't work.

Heartbroken still over the change to Center State. Payments and deposits show pending for days, I've had my account compromised, surprise fees they don't advise you of, just one thing after another. Already moved my savings, and tried to hold on to checking but I've had enough now. I was with Charter for 16 years and hate they get to keep Charter's reviews on here even... makes them look better than they are.

I LOVED charter but ever since CenterState bought out Charter it’s been a complete nightmare. CenterState screwed me over numerous times. One hour the app would show we have a lot of money then the next hour we have negative. Not to mention, every time i go to the atm it says “unauthorized user”. This bank SUCKS! I’m in the process of switching banks because I HATE CenterState!!! I wish I could give negative stars.

Was my favorite small bank until today. I was funded a sba eidl grant and a ppp loan for my small business! Centerstate bank decided that I do not meet the qualifications to for a small business so they froze my account, closed my account, and funded MY GRANT and loan back and didn’t want to give me my remaining balance until Monday. I’m a sole proprietor and I met the requirements with sba so why not with the bank. They were unfair and unjust. Luckily later today I was informed I could still receive my GRANT & LOAN by the SBA because there was nothing fraudulent on my application. It’ll take a while but that doesn’t matter. I’m now with synovus and informed them what happened and they couldn’t believe it. I should have left this bank when my fiancé told me so. A sole proprietor DOES NOT HAVE TO REGISTER WITH THE STATE TO EXIST AND THAT’S WHAT THE SBA SAID SO DON’T LET THAT BANK FOOL YOU IF YOU EVER HAVE A PROBLEM IN THIS NATURE!

It WAS an amazing bank. But ever since it’s switched. Now it’s like a freshly baked pie that you accidentally drop top down and stains your carpet. My deposited checks used to go through right away. But now my check has been nonstop pending. I can’t order anything because “something went wrong with my card” when I have PLENTY of money in my account. So far it’s been nothing but problems with this switch. I get it may take a second to work things out when you switch but cmon. This is peoples money you’re dropping pies on. Just go back to how it used to be. That was much better. Thank you. I’m gonna go steam clean my carpet now.

Was amazing back when it was CharterBank. Has gone south since the merger with CenterState. Cannot believe how bad things have gotten. If you heavily rely on a mobile app to check your balance, stay as far away from this place as possible. Words cannot describe how pitiful CenterState’s iPhone app is. CharterBank was unbeatable, it’s a shame to see it as it is today.

If you're looking for a mortgage, this is not the bank to go to. What bank in 2018 does not allow you to make a mortgage payment online, and only accepts payments at their locations or through snail mail? You can't even call to make a payment over the phone. Seems like something small, but when you live in a time when hardly anyone writes checks, it's a big inconvenience. They're definitely in the dark ages as far as technology.
