Chris Stark1The Manager lied to me twice when I tried to resolve a issue that they messed up and I had to catch on my own . A 350$ mistake would’ve went by the wayside if I wouldn’t of followed up on my transaction. If you want a better bank go to FCB
Response from the ownerHello Chris, we’re sorry you have had a poor experience at Scott Credit Union. If you would like to discuss this further, please send us the best way to reach you to [email protected].

Olivia H.5I love this bank! Tonight, Tianna helped me get my debit card. But she didn't just do that, she explained all the bank had to offer and helped me with 'adulting' while the card was printing. I'm not sure if she was coming off of a break, but she seemed to feel bad for me because I had been waiting after going to the wrong kiosk and came right over. I'm so thankful for her and all of the wonderful SCU staff! I am unafraid to ask silly questions because they are always willing to help.
Response from the ownerThank you for your kind words and the 5-star review, Olivia!

Moriah Jennings1Extremely unknowledgeable and this is not the first time an incident like this has happened with this location. I was sent to another to deposit a check, a bank I informed the employee(which has been working there for years) I didn't have an account at and I was still instructed to go there. I'm extremely upset and now I can't get in contact with anyone from this location about how to get access to my money.
Response from the ownerHello Moriah. We would like to apologize for the frustration you are experiencing. Please send your preferred contact info to [email protected] and we will have a member of management reach out to help you.

lexi5This location is decent and the staff are helpful, but I am more impressed by Scott Credit Union in general- the company as a whole. I had a problem with a company continually charging me over draft fees and not wanting to help resolve it even though it was a problem on their end. One call to SCU and the fees were waved and I was met with incredible customer service, understanding and kindness. I've been banking with them forever and I would recommend them to anyone!
Response from the ownerThank you for your review, Lexi. We will be sure to share it with our Fairview Heights & Member Contact Center Leadership!

Clark Weckmann5Never had a problem. Most of the bad reviews seem to be either poor planning or irresponsibility on the user's side. This credit union isn't some magic organization that will take care of everything for you but they are a great one. I've never had an issue, the app is great, the web portal is always online, and the people are usually great. Everyone had bad days though. As far as a place to store my wealth, they exceed everywhere else no questions asked.
Response from the ownerThank you, Clark!

Jason N1If I could it would be no stars. I've was with this bank for over 10 years. The bank reported me for two missed payments. The total in question here was 6 dollars. I was unaware that the charges had been made on my card. I was not contact by phone mail or email until three months after the fact. Once I found out about it I paid off the card (now 45 dollars). I contacted Scott and they were unwilling to drop the charges against me. I was in ranger school for three months, no one was able to contact me while in training. Now we have to do all the loans in my wife's name because I have one report of bad credit against me and we all know how that goes. This credit union is no friend of military.

Brittny Gibson1While I was banking with Scott Credit Union, my debt card was stolen and fraudulent transactions were made. It was about $200 worth. I filed a police report. The girl that stole it was arrested and charged. I filed fraud paperwork with the bank. Turned in a copy of the police report to them. I got the money credited back to my account. I ended up later closing my account with them because I moved to a different state and they didn’t have those banks around here. Some time later I noticed Scott Credit Union hit my credit report with a charge off account of $340. I called them up and they tried to tell me I never gave them a police report and never filled out the fraud paperwork which was LIES. I actually had my fiancé with me at the time I filled out all the paperwork. He still lives in the area so I called him to obtain yet another copy of the police report to give to them. I called them and they told me it was past the time frame to claim fraud and there was nothing they could do about it. Well I gave them an ear full and he brought them the paperwork. They reported a 0 balance to the credit bureaus and it is still negatively affecting my credit FIVE YEARS LATER. They promised me they would remove it and they have yet to do so. I’ve waited months and it’s still on there. I will be reporting them to the FCRA. They have damaged my credit score for 5 freakin years over something I had no control over!! Worst bank EVER.
Response from the ownerHi Brittny, We would like to have someone contact you from our leadership team over the area that handles these type of issues. Please, send us the best way to reach you to [email protected].

Rachel Freeman3This credit union is pretty good but I can't say I'm super impressed. There's no fees which is great, but ATMS cost money unless you use their debit card regularly, then you can get a small refund. There's no locations in St louis. Getting a homeowners mortgage through them was a pain in the butt. Online banking and app work well and check deposit is easy that way. No way to deposit cash remotely though.

Steven Inge5SCU is a great local bank to have if you're military and use one of the non physical banks. I've had to get a few emergency loans when I was younger, obviously not good at budgeting then. Other benefits like change depositing are a plus too.

Joseph Andrews4Great customer service, but fees are sometimes annoying. I would recommend this place, but be sure to get over draft protection, so that you don't bounce a check with a bunch of money setting in your savings account.
