Cathy X1The absolute worse finance to deal with. They bully you if you are a few days late. Once you catch on to their game, the really get NASTY with you. Their customer service is rude. Find another Finance company because this one you will regret. From now on, only dealing with the bank. But if that's not an option for try any other one than this one.

Naomi Hinton1I’m not sure how Sam (the manager) is still employed there! His customer service skills need a ton of work! I understand I borrowed money and will certainly make my payments and I also understand every company have guidelines but there is a way to do things! Sam has made a huge amount of threats to me even when I told him what day I’ll be able to make pmts. He even hung the phone up on me while I was asking very important questions because he was upset I wouldn’t set my pmt up 2 months ago. He even called me last night with the same energy! If u need money and credit isn’t that great by all means do what u need to help yourself but if u value being treated as a human go to another office or company because Sam clearly needs more customer service training!

Rebekah Ellis1I was late on my first payment because I was going through a divorce. I divulged personal information to them about my life to help them understand why I had not yet made the payment. They said they understood and would work with me. I continued to make on time payments after that and a few months later, I paid off the balance in whole. I checked my credit report and it said “remark” made by Mariner Finance. I called and they told me the derogatory remark was that I was late on my first payment. I think it’s despicable to go out of their way to hurt my credit even more by making an unnecessary comment on my credit report when they were completely aware of the situation I was in.. and they were supposedly “working with me”. What a thoughtless approach to dealing with a customer in a difficult spot who was fully communicating and willing to pay whatever I could. Do not recommend working with these people.

Stev A1Beware of FAKE reviews on this company. It is my opinion that several of them are bots, and not real people. For this company to feast on the poor, and take advantage of people during a pandemic tells you all you need to know about them. How they have received a four star rating on Google, shows me that Google's rating system is rigged, or just plain criminal. This company is charging 35% interest on small loans, to trap people into longer payment times, and having to pay "LOAN SHARK" type of interest on money borrowed. This should be illegal. The consumer protection agency died decades ago, and there is no one watching out for the average consumer in recent times. This company should be avoided at all costs. Buyer beware!!! PREPARE yourselves for a bunch of APATHETIC lawyer speak below in answer to this review, to try to justify COMPLETELY RIPPING YOU OFF!!!!

Brian Theos3The loan was easy and fast....HOWEVER, the interest rate was super high. Used it to pay off high interest credit cards. The total monthy payments were more than the monthly payments for this loan and in four years the debts will be clear....never would have happened paying minimum payments. This loan would be much less painful if it weren't costing me so much interest. Three stars because of interest, service was great.

Julie1Asked for a late fee to be removed due to Covid at my local branch. The guy was a complete jerk. No help whatsoever with my fee. It was the first time I asked. I even paid more than the minimum monthly to help pay it down. The interest will eat you alive. Thankfully I paid my full balance off way ahead of schedule.
