Rusty Bynum2Just purchased a new vehicle from one of my customers that I do business with. He talked me into going with great plains credit union said they were a good company. Called this morning to make my second payment on my truck and find out now they are going to charge fees to make payments over the phone at seven dollars or five dollars to make payments online. This is not about the money it’s about the principle they’re going to charge me to repay my loanNot a good way to do business

Jamie B1They really don't get any stars from me. I would not bank with them ever again. They are not friendly or welcoming. I made a my car payment on November 18th. Saturday I check my account and they had took out a extra 297.79. Monday I called to speak with a manager and of course she wasn't available so I left a message. Hours had passed and I still have not received a call back. So I went up there to talk to them about the extra money they took out of my account and to get my money back and show them the check images. I had to go through hoops and go back and forth with them about getting my money back. Then they tried to tell me that they could not give me my money back right away and they don't know how long it will take because they had to send the images and talk to a higher authority so they can investigate what happened. I was up there for an hour and a half going back and forth with them about my money, they finally gave me the extra money they took out. The whole time I was there not one person apologized for what happened. I would not recommend them to anyone. They need new staff.

Lucero Chavez1Valley or whatever her name is, is very rude. She will ignore your questions, she will talk over you, she will giggle at you over the phone. If she’s the manager she needs to be demoted. By reading other reviews I’m not the only one that thinks that the customer service is poor. They need a change in staff or just simply replace valley (if I’m spelling her name right, but that’s what she told me her name was) not to mention the ridiculous fees they have to make a simple payment. First and last time I do business here for sure!

Jerod Sharp2Purchased 1 truck with GPFCU and it was fairly seamless. The second vehicle was not so good. They apparently were restructuring their system which did not allow for automatic payment. Next, they told me the wrong first payment date which caused me to be late and owe a penalty fee, when I have always been on time with payment. Calling in to pay your bill is always an inconvenience and they had no way for me to pay via online. apparently they charge now for calling in to pay your bill. One employee would always be short with me and interrupt me while talking. In short, I refinanced with another institute, and when I called in to find out the pay off amount, they gave me the wrong amount which slowed up the process. Poorly ran institute.

kevinkennadi etheridge2I have a car loan through GPFCU have had one for almost a year now. There is no way to go online and pay a payment. The only way they can take a payment is check by mail, over the phone with a Visa card, or in the branch. I don’t have checks and I now live in a different state. I call my payment in and almost every time I do I have problems with them. They run my payment as a cash advance, which my bank charges me $5 and some change each time. They take forever collecting their money after my bank has approved it. Ex : I paid my payment the 31st of July. It came out of my account just fine, then the 5th comes around and my payment in back in my bank account and there is no transaction showing I paid it at my bank, but GPFCU shows it paid. They did get me a lower interest rate with my vehicle but to deal with this every time I make a payment is ridiculous. The staff at this location, primarily Gloria and Angie are great with trying to help me through it each time I pay, but the credit union needs to come up with a better system.
