      I wish there was an option for no stars because that would be accurate. This title company is very incompetent and unprofessional. They failed to wire our funds after the sale of our house timely. They lied saying they had wired the money. They lied saying they switched banks and couldn't see the wire transaction details. And, they won't answer their phone! We were left sitting on the curb with our 5, 3 and 1-year-olds waiting for the wire to come through another day later, so the other title company could allow us to move into our new home because First Dakota Title didn't send the money timely. Save yourselves the angst and trouble, use Getty or another title company.

      Do not use this company to complete your title work. We started the process the summer of 2021 and the title is still not completed due to their incompetence. Long delays and multiple lost documents. We supposedly closed on all of this on December 1, 2021 but just found out today that it is still not complete. They got paid in December to complete this. They cashed all the checks and guess what...still not done.

      FIrst Dakota Title made closing a quick and painless process. The new text notifications with updates leading up to closing is pretty sweet as well.

      We have used two different local Title companies 4 times with an additional time coming in October and 1st Dakota title has stood out as our go to because of their efficiency, professionalism, and great communication. Smooth sailing with them always!!

      We have had 2 closings in 6 months now and they can't seem to get their locations and invites straight. Showed up for both closings and were told we were at the wrong office even though we verified with our loan agents that we were at the right office. Our loan agent also told us it was not the first time it's happened with this company. The manager was very apologetic but attention to detail send to be lacking here.

      After closing on our house, I found documents in the folder that were not discussed during closing. Times for closing were separate from the buyer and seller. The sellers had to sit for over an hour in the waiting area because they messed up the scheduling. Documents were missing from our packet and the secretary had to run back and forth to get proper documents.

      Everything went well up until my closing in another state. They seemed to have forgotten to initiate the wire transfer from their bank to the title company of my new home. During the closing, I had to call them and request the wire be initiated. Resulting in a 1.5 hour delay.

      Here now refinancing our house. Recently refinanced another property. Both times we are told to show up at the downtown location. Once here, we are told we are to be at the south location. The first time we had the actual calendar invite from First Dakota Title. All correspondence between them and the mortgage officer showed the downtown location. No explanation given. Such a waste of time. Update: manager just confirmed with this current closing that the calendar invite was for the downtown location.
